Privacy Policy

ShipShorts (“ShipShorts,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Pavo Digital Pvt Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through shipshorts.ai and the ShipShorts portal, why we collect it, and how it’s used, stored, and shared.

What we collect

• Account information— the email address you sign in with, and basic account metadata (when you signed up, what plan you’re on).
• Content you provide— the niche, topic ideas, and creative input (“brain dump”) you give us so the system can generate videos for you.
• Generated content records — the videos, scripts, and metadata our system produces on your behalf, and their generation status.
• Payment information — we do not directly store your card details. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our payment processor and merchant of record, who collect and handle payment card data under their own security and compliance obligations. We receive confirmation of payment and order details, not raw card numbers.
• Usage data — standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically to keep the service running and secure.

Google/YouTube data (Auto-Post feature only)

ShipShorts offers an optional YouTube Auto-Postfeature. If — and only if — you choose to connect your YouTube channel, you’ll be asked to grant permission through Google’s OAuth consent screen. If you don’t use this feature, none of the following applies to you.

When you connect your channel, we request access to:

• Your basic Google account email, to confirm which Google account is connected.
• YouTube channel access, used only to upload the videos ShipShorts generates for you directly to your connected channel.

We do not read, collect, or store the content of your existing YouTube videos, comments, analytics, or subscriber data. We do not post anything to your channel except the specific videos our system generated for you, and only after you’ve approved them in the portal. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party access settings, which immediately stops any further access.

ShipShorts’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use what we collect

We use the information above only to:

• Generate the videos, scripts, and content you’ve requested.
• Operate your account, process payments, and provide support.
• Upload approved videos to your channel, if you’ve enabled Auto-Post.
• Keep the service secure and diagnose technical issues.
• Send you service-related emails (order confirmations, batch-ready notices).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share data only where necessary to run the service:

• Dodo Payments — processes your payment as merchant of record.
• AI generation providers (including Anthropic and MindStudio, and the image/voice models they call) — process your niche/topic input to generate scripts, voiceovers, and visuals.
• Google/YouTube API— only if you’ve connected Auto-Post, as described above.
• Infrastructure providers (hosting and database — Vercel and Neon) — store and run the application itself.

We do not share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.

How we protect your data

We use the following safeguards to protect your personal information and sensitive data:

• Encryption in transit — every connection to shipshorts.ai and the portal is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. We do not serve the app or its APIs over unencrypted connections.
• Encryption at rest— your account data is stored in a managed Postgres database that encrypts data at rest. Google account access tokens (used only for the optional YouTube Auto-Post feature) are additionally encrypted at the application level before storage, using a key kept separate from the database itself, and are decrypted only at the moment they’re used to make an API call on your behalf.
• Password security — if you set a password, we never store or log it in plain text. Passwords are salted and hashed using scrypt before storage, so we cannot recover or view your actual password, even internally.
• Payment data isolation — we never receive or store your card details. All card data is handled directly by Dodo Payments, our PCI-compliant payment processor and merchant of record.
• Access controls — internal access to student data is limited to authorized team members who need it to operate the service, gated by authenticated, per-person login rather than shared credentials.
• Revocable access— you can disconnect YouTube Auto-Post at any time from your Google Account’s third-party access settings or by contacting us; doing so immediately stops further access and deletes the stored token.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but these are the concrete measures we take to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account and generated-content records for as long as your account is active, so you can access your video history. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@shipshorts.ai. If you disconnect YouTube Auto-Post, we stop using that access immediately; Google account tokens tied to a deleted account are also deleted.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@shipshorts.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we’ll honor requests consistent with those rights.

Children’s privacy

ShipShorts is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “last updated” date, and where appropriate, notified to active account holders by email.
